I'm a huge tea snob. After reading other reviews, I hesitated on purchasing the teapot, but am glad I did. I had purchased one for myself and it really makes a difference in steeping and keeping the tea warm. I've generally used porcelain teapots, and when I finally cracked my favorite one, I decided I'd give cast iron a try. It pours smoothly with no drips and is easy to handle despite the weight. It's holds enough tea to steep bold or light tea. I used it with a warmer, and the tea stayed decently hot until I finished it all an hour later. The handle can be hot, but i keeps a towel handy to save the fingers. The only regret is that its price is not my ideal price.

I bought this as a gift for my wife
I bought this as a gift for my wife and she really like it. It looks much better in the photo. Initially I was excited to find a cast iron teapot at such a reasonable price, but you really get what you pay for. For tea lovers it is a treat to make a tea in the cast iron teapot. But i was just a tad worried they'd be too big or heavy or the handle would be difficult. However, I expect this one to last for a long time.

I love this teapot
I love this teapot as it keeps the tea warm for ages and makes my Weekend mornings very pleasant as I can chill out with lots of tasty tea.
As others have said the handle does get hot, but knowing that don't touch it with bare hands when full of boiling water. It's going to be safe.
