When I received the item, i took it to the sink to immediately wash it out as I do with all new dishware. The pottery is thick and solid, i have a good feeling that this will last a long time. I just put in the cups and rinse, easy as that and cleans super easy. Which is what I bought it for. I'm glad I purchased this product.
