The rectangle teapots take much more proportions of the purple clay square teapot, the common style included the rectangle fighting teapot, high rectangle teapot, compressed rectangle teapot,etc. Changes still exist even they all belong to the rectangle teapots, every side is straight side, every line is straight line, this is the basic characteristic of rectangle teapots.
There is another transshape of rectangle teapot, the change of the straight lines causing the change of the whole shape of rectangle teapot. It is casual and free style, and completely new or fashionable type of rectangle teapots.
* Purple paste carved lacquer teapot, Wanli Period in Ming Dynasty, Shi Dabin made. The pot body is rectangle, wide upside, flat shouder, short neck, roundish mouth, pressed roundish cover, circle handle, low feet set on the four comers. It still kept some characteristics of sphere ware.
* Clouds and bats pattern teapot, Qing Dynasty, Chen Mansheng made. The pot body is rectangle, inlay cover, square button, rectangle flow-mouth, low feet set on the four comers.
* Square fighting teapot with inscription, Daoguang/Xianfeng Periods in Qing Dynasty, Shen Xi carved characters. The pot body is trapezium, every line is straight line, cover is inlaid into the belly, straight flow-mouth, turnover square handle. The shape is free from all the elements of sphere teapots and belong to the rectangle teapot completely.
* Rectangle teapot, Tongzhi/Guangxu Periods in Qing Dynasty, Huang Yulin made. The pot body is trapezium, narrow upside and wide underbelly, the shape was coming from the rice container which used in ancestors' houses.the side of cover is smaller than the Square fighting teapot with inscription, a cube button on the cover, straight flow-mouth, circle handle. It is clean and simple style, only the handle was casual and free.
* Four feet rectangle teapot, Kangxi Period in Qing Dynasty, Chen Mingyuan. The teapot body is rectangle, stocky and massiness, short neck, convex cover and rectangle button, curl flow-mouth, circle handle, four comer of the flat bottom, the shape is plump.
* Han rectangle teapot, Kangxi Period in Qing Dynasty, Hua Fengxiang made. The teapot body is rectangle, with the pitch arc variety. It decorated four Ruyi pattern at each corner, the handle is long and circle. This style is prevalent style in Kangxi Period, Qing Dynasty.
* High four-sides general jar shape of teapot, Kangxi/Jiaqing Period in Qing Dynasty, Shi Weigao. The teapot body is rectangle, with lots of convex and concave change, short neck, plump shoulder, convergent underbelly similar to the shape of general jar. Quadrate mouth and convex cover, four corner and three curl shape of the flow-mouth setting on the belly, the whole shape is powerful.
* Gold painted tower teapot, Daoguang Period in Qing Dynasty, be carved such characters as "Fusheng Deng Kui supervision". The teapot body is rectangle tower shape, with curved shape, turnover shoulder, square mouth, the cover button is foursquare, short flow-mouth, long circle handle, the whole shape is solemn and respectful.
* Square clock teapot with inscription, Qing Dynasty, no maker's name. The shape is square clock style, a little convex center of the belly, convergent from upside to underbelly, turnover shoulder, square mouth, the button of cover is ；the square clock style with bridge shape, flat I bottom, four corner and three curl shape of the flow-mouth, turnover the square handle.
* Purple clay paste square tin teapot, Daoguang/Xianfeng Periods in Qing Dynasty. Turnover belly and convergent inside, flat bottom, square mouth, the cover is compressed white jade button, square prismatic shape, short straight flow-mouth, narrow upside and wide underbelly, green jade circle handle. This one is covered by tin with the purple clay inside.
* Curl arris teapot, Tongzhi/Guangxu Periods in Qing Dynasty, Huang Yulin. Square teapot with four roundish comer, small upside and big underbelly, the curved lines are convex, short neck, square mouth, three petals curl bridge shape of the button, short curl flow-mouth, circle roundish handle, low feet set on each corner. This one is belonged to the top grade in the traditional style.
* Inscription bundle teapot, Late-Ming Dynasty and Early-Republic of China Period, Chen Guangming made. The pot body is fourquare, the cover imitated the shape of bundle, the inlay cover is syncretized with bundle's crackle, the joint used as the button, the flow-mouth is foursquare beams and three curls, turnover square handle, flat bottom. The whole shape is based on the style of square teapot with bundle modelling, imaginative and natural.
* Carved flower and inscription pattern square teapot, the Republic of China Period, Wu Desheng made. The pot body is fourquare which similar to the brick, every line is straight, plane sides, corner is inlay, square bridge shape of the button, a straight flow-mouth with four square beam, rectangle handle.
* Curl square beam teapot with loop handle, Modem time, Wu Yungen made. They made a few changes based on the traditional curl square beams shape of teapot instead of the short curl flow-mouth and the deduced circle roundish handle, using the loop handle. The whole shape got big change, the high loop handle formed lots of contrasts of sphere and square lines and sides.
* Furnace teapot, the Republic of China Period, Yu Guoliang made. The pot body is fourquare, short neck, square mouth and convex comer, compressed roundish button. Four feet standings set on the bottom, three parts of curl flow-mouth are natural and vivid, it should be a superior work in the purple clay teapot, in modem time. Now, people makes lots of square teapots as before, continues the traditional style, contains lots of improvements and innovations.
* Fourquare gooze egg shape of teapot, Xianfeng/Tongzhi Periods in Qing Dynasty, Ming Yuan made. The pot is foursquare modelling, convex belly, the upside of belly is convergent, square mouth, pressed corner, square flow-mouth and squareness button, circle rectangle handle, four comer beams of feet. The whole style looks like the general jar.
* Jade belt teapot with loop handle, Modem time, Lu Yaochen made. The shape of teapot is pressed rectangle, flat mouth, cover is inlay, square button is bridge shape style. Foursquare and two curls on the flow-mouth, it is narrow in the middle of shoulder, the curved loop handle is jade belt like.
* Red and black teapot, 、Modem time, Shi Xiaoma made. The pot body is high square, flat mouth, pressed cover, two pieces of (he letters as "L" constitute the cover, with the square handle. It composed by red and black clay materials. The body is red connected with the black flow-mouth and handle, searching for a change in square teapot.
* Green lion teapot, Modem time, Pan Chiping made. The teapot body is rectangle wit a few change, a little outwards of the underbelly, low feet set on each corner, turnover shoulder, short flow-mouth and neck, square mouth, pressed and convex cover, lion button, square handle.
* Tianzhu teapot, Modem time, Wang Jianzhong design, Ge Taozhong made. The pot body is foursquare with a few changes, curved both sides, rubberizing clay slices are decorations, turnover shoulder, square neck, roundish mouth, cover is inlay, the cover button is high rectangle shape, foursquare flow-mouth and curved side under the flow-mouth, an anomalous square handle, set the upside of handle on the shoulder and curl downside, corresponding to the under part of the handle. Round in the square, vivid life in the quiet.
* One of a series of square throwing teapot, Modem time, Wu Guangrong made. The pot body is roundish square with anomalous variations, turnover shoulder, round mouth, cover is inlay, the button of cover is anomalous square, short flow-mouth, circle pressed roundish handle. Added bottom, the whole shape is casual, although considered this one as a square ware, it simple and bland without any regulated restricts.
* One of a series of square hand-throwing teapot, Modem time, Wu Guangrong made. This one's original shape is square fighting teapot, every line of sides is pitch arc, anomalous, turnover shoulder, round mouth, cover is inlay, anomalous foursquare button, it is much more casual of the flow-mouth and handle, everything is keeping the natural shape without any regulated restricts.
