The Yixing Green Clay Elephant Teapot is handmade from raw ore purple clay sourced from Huanglongshan. The clay contains relatively large particles with a loose structure, forming a clearly visible double-pore system that allows smooth air and pore convection. With long-term use, the teapot continues to improve in texture and character. The upward spout pours water smoothly and powerfully with a natural connection. A clear and complete seal on the base reflects authentic craftsmanship. The square handle features a distinctive design, while the spout and elephant-shaped lid knob add a fresh and playful charm to the overall form.
Many tea connoisseurs regard the Yixing Green Clay Elephant Teapot as an indispensable piece for a tea enthusiast’s collection. Its unique qualities are closely linked to Yixing purple clay (ZiSha), found only in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, China, and the skill of experienced artisans.
