The qualities that make it truly special are directly linked to the purple clay (ZiSha), found only in Yixing, Jiangsu province of China, and the highly skilled craftspeople commissioned to create these teapots. Yixing teapots are considered by some connoisseurs as the best possible way to steep tea.
Features:
• Unique Adsorption: Thanks to its good ventilation, the Yixing Red Clay Xi Shi Lotus Teapot has strong adsorption properties. With continued use, it absorbs tea aroma and gradually develops a natural fragrance. For this reason, it is recommended to dedicate the teapot to one type of tea to avoid flavor mixing and preserve pure taste.
• The More Nourished, the More Spiritual: Unlike ordinary utensils, the more you use this teapot, the better it becomes. With frequent brewing and gentle cleaning, the teapot body grows increasingly shiny, smooth, mild, and beautiful.
• Resistant to Hot and Cold Temperatures: Made from sandy red clay with slow heat transfer, the teapot offers excellent thermal stability. It can withstand sudden changes in temperature and will not split easily, even when heated directly on a stove.
